Of Mice and Men Character List


  • George Milton - smaller guy, leader
  • Lennie Small - giant, strong, and dumb "strong as a bull, p.22"
  • Candy - missing a hand, old and crippled
  • Boss - stocky man, well dressed. Cold and mean. Owns the Ranch. Paranoid
  • Whit - Ranch hand
  • Slim - quiet man, big and tall. leader and mule driver
  • Carlson - powerful, big stomached man. insensitive. Complains about Candy's dog. 
  • Crooks - stable buck, has a crooked back, African American. Isolated from the workers cabin due to his skin color. 
  • Curly - boss' son. mean, fighter
  • Curly's wife - tart. easy. pretty girl. Was promised to be in the movies, but she doesn't understand that she is just a trophy
